# Monday to Sheets

> Monday to Sheets is a Google Workspace add-on that syncs monday.com boards into Google Sheets. It runs on demand, every 3 hours, or live within seconds of a change, and on Business it can send sheet edits back to monday.com.

It's for teams who report on monday.com data in Google Sheets and are tired of exporting CSVs. A sync takes a board, or one group on it, and the chosen columns, and keeps them current in a tab.

## Good fits

- Keeping a Google Sheet current with a monday.com board. Manual sync is on every plan. Scheduled sync runs every 3 hours on Pro. Live sync is on Business.
- Boards that use status, people, timeline, mirror, formula, connected boards or subitems. All column types sync, and computed ones arrive read-only.
- Sheets people edit. On Business, two-way sync sends edits on text, numbers, status, date, checkbox, link, email and phone columns back to monday.com.
- Sheets with formulas built on top. Columns map by monday.com column ID, so a rename doesn't break them, and the user's own columns carry through every sync.

## Poor fits

- Many sources into one sheet. A data platform such as Coupler.io does that.
- Event chains across several apps. Zapier or Make does that.
- Board views. A sync takes a whole board or one group.
- Other platforms. Airtable to Sheets (airtabletosheets.com) and ClickUp to Sheets (clickuptosheets.com) are the sister add-ons.
